Srilanka Tamil weddings have much kind of rituals. One of them is inviting relatives, friends and neighbors for the wedding ceremony. In the earlier days people by orally invited the guests. Now, Tamil people are using invitation cards to invite guests for the marriages. There are many kinds of designs, shapes, cards and colors are available for the selection. Even some people use silk clothes for the invitation to be printed on.
The invitation cards are normally printed in Tamil and English on the same invitation card, two weeks before the wedding. And will say orally also to come for the wedding with the whole family and see the function and to have lunch or dinner after the marriage ceremony.
Today these cards are coming in many designs, in paper, clothe, plastic paper and so on. There are many cover designs too to select from along with the fonts you choose from a thousands to select for printing. Printing too take place in the press in many format single, double triple or four colors. To select a card to print is a big job today, as there are a lot of selections. Still most people like Tamilnadu, Indian invitation models. And bring it from there or buy from certain vendors who import them. When giving order for Invitation cards don't forget to give orders for the matching cake box or cake packs.
That too match the invitation cards of the marriages. Further more Brides, Bridegroom must decide how many cards they need for their friends, then Brides family, Bridegroom family will decide how much cards they need. All four party's total amount with 10% more cards will be good enough for printing order. In some weddings both party print separately their designs of Invitations.
Don't forget to keep some of the wedding invitation cars in safe, as it is an important document to proof the marriage at the Embassies when applying for a visa.
