Jaffna Tamil Matrimonial wedding day advice
In today's Srilankan tamil weddings every one care about their appearence in the Wedding video, wedding photos. In the hall you can't even look ths marriage ceremony. Only visible is the camera, lighting men's backs. Yes to have a good look of the wedding you have to wait for the video. And of this, many are visiting to Beauty parlours. Some time the Bride and the bride groom forces their parents also to go to the beautician, to have a good looking work up. Some, didn't even attend the wedding ceremonies because of carelessly dyeing their hair and get facial allergiey. So what happens at the wedding hall many forget the important things as "Thalik koddy" ( Wedding Jewellery), rings, Garlands, Even box of matches.
So, if you are the bride or bride groom's family member, double check weather all the following items are available at the wedding hall. The reason is Video and Photos. Every one care about these and forget the rest. it's better appoint a person for the given tasks. And one person must look after weather every one is doing their Task. Here are some thing we remember to put in the list. If there is any thing that we have to include, please send it to us by email.
For the Bride :- Check all her jewellery, veil, her make up kit, enough handkachief, Garlands and flowers for use. Registration saree, blouse
For the Bride groom :- Ring for the "tholan", Registration clothes, Brides presenting things as "thali", wedding saree, makeup set, tray
For the Kurukkkal :- some cocunuts, A knife to crack, An open jar to collect coconut water, 'Salvai" 4 pc's, Donation things of kurukkal Vegetables, rice, "Veati salvai" as per the list of two kurukkal.
For the Hall Entrance :- A piece Rope, "Mavilai", Two oil lamps, box of matches Clothe ("thiri"), oil, sandalwood sticks, banana leaf, rice, silver pot, cocunut, flower with grass, one garland, Tumeric powder, A table clothe, Three cups for sandal wood, kumkum and holy ash, "panneer kumba", tray for "arathi', and banana, "thri sticks", gifts for the visitors when going from the hall, after the wedding.
For the Visitors :- Juice or soft drinks, Food, yellow rice, flower pieces "katkandu", wedding cake packets, napkin paper
